The Writing Week

It's been a busy and productive week, interrupted by a further visit to the dentist, but that job should be finished at the next visit.
The NaNoWriMo novel, titled, An Avenger Unseen, is now well into its next stage of editing. I've read aloud the first 10 chapters and marked these where changes are needed. Once I've completed that part, I shall go back and make all the necessary alterations.
Another blog post is finished and scheduled to appear later this month.
On a walk along the coast (see pic above) with my wife, our conversation inspired another book; that will take some time to compile and write. A philosophical treatise, I'm not yet sure how I'll present it.
This morning I started on a new short story, managing 1400 words in the hour before breakfast.
And I've finally entered a short story in a contest. A 570 word piece for a flash fiction competition listed under the Writing Contests tab above.
I'm continuing to read the current book from my 'to read' list; The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, on my Kindle. And I've read this month's copy of Writers' Forum Magazine and sent a short letter for their reader's letters page. Time I entered their competition again, I think, having won 3 prizes with them over the years.
So, a reasonable week on the writing front. How did yours go?

Writing: 100 Words Today. What?

How can it be that I have done only 100 words? Well, it was a token effort, following a difficult day at the office and the need to thoroughly water the garden, as we have had no rain for three weeks and none forecast until after the weekend. plants are dying. But I was determined to move the story on, even if only a little. And, actually, those few words brought up a new idea, which I'm now ready to expand the next time I take up the thread: probably Thursday, since Wednesday is my writing group night.
So, a very short entry tonight.

The picture is a local vale we walked a few days ago. Walked 4 miles and never met another soul; heaven!

Writing - Not Today

Regulars will know I rarely write on a Monday, due to longer hours at work and an evening spent at dance classes with my wife. And many will be aware I've been suffering CFS for over 7 years. Unfortunately, this condition, which never completely disappears, has returned this week due to a combination of slight over-exertion and some stress- causing incidents. As a result, I left work early today, so I could take the only action that has any positive effect in these circumstances; i.e. rest.
So, no writing tonight. I've dealt with my emails and followed-up on the author interview from yesterday, as I commit to this with every author interview I present.  But, for now, the only option is more rest. Perhaps tomorrow might permit some actual writing. I shall have to wait and see.
In the meantime, here's another local picture to please, inspire or inform.
