Writing: 2000 Words, Against the Odds.

Unusually, I didn't start writing the epic fantasy today until after lunch. I had a latish start as I was still feeling unwell. But, moping gets you nowhere, so I sat at the keyboard and, to my delight and surprise, turned out another 2000 words. Pleased with what I've done, as well.
Later, and with many rest periods in between, I managed to update the 'Writing Contests' page and write and post a piece about entering such competitions.
So, late in the evening, and still feeling no better physically, but heaps better spiritually, I'm going to watch some entertaining TV with my wife, who has just returned from a successful bowls match, and imbibe some of the wine I received for my birthday.

Writing: Not a New Word Was Penned

In Malham Dale, North Yorkshire.
So, where have I been? What have I been doing?
Truth is, yesterday I had a slightly longer day at the office and then came home and had time only to respond to emails before dance class.  And today, under a new regime, was a long day at work and I arrived home too knackered to do more than keep control of the emails.
So, not a new word of the epic fantasy has been written, which is really quite galling. But, tomorrow, I shall return early from the office and take Valerie out to her bowls match. I shall then sit in the clubhouse and work on the book on the laptop for the first time. A new experience and one I'm looking forward to. But, for now, it's a relaxing time on the sofa with some classical music to refresh my spirit.

Writing: 2000 Words Written.

No report yesterday, as I should have been at my writing group. However, I was too knackered to contribute anything meaningful (what do you mean, 'so, no change there, then'?).
This morning, properly rested and full of beans, I continued with Ch25 and added 2000 words. Whether these turn out to be words of wisdom or worthless words remains to be seen. Only when I exchange my creator's cap for my editor's 'elmet, will I be able to assess the success or otherwise. Still, it all feels as if it's going well, which has to count for something.

Been out to vote, and for a short walk under clouds threatening but failing to deliver proper rain. After more than 3 weeks without any rain, the garden is in real need.

Had enough now. Back at it tomorrow.

Edit; a Brief Input

Last night, of course, was dance class, which went well but left me a bit knackered.
Tonight, other things have intervened, so I've simply amalgamated three sections into a loosely formed chapter, but done no more for the moment, due to weariness.
Tomorrow is my writing group evening, where I'll read a short story for feedback. So, it won't be until Thursday that I get back to the real work, unfortunately.
